Pondering our lunch table today, I was looking at everyone and just thinking how blessed I was to be surrounded by all my best friends.
So at our lunch table if you aren't there within the first 5 minutes you will not get a seat! Haha we cram about 19 people at one of the small circle tables and honestly it's the best part of my day!

That's when we become a team
Had our first comp yesterday! :) I forgot the rush you get before you perform!
As your behind the curtains and can hear the base of the speakers pounding in your chest, as the butterflies are getting stronger. The scent of glitter and hairspray is rich in the air. The crazy cheer parents living thru their children and dressing in every team color possible. The roar of the crowd is deafening. You barely hear your coaches pep talk.
But the moment when you walk thru the curtains and stand in a circle holding hands with your team, thinking of everything it took to get to this moment- every painful, exhausting, fun, loud, and bond forming practice, that's the moment when it all becomes worth it.
The gut dropping feeling you get when they announce your teams name. The moment comes when it's your turn to take center mat. As you rally on the floor, you feel the spring floor underneath your feet, and you channel every ounce of nerves into adrenaline. Your jumps soar- your facials are out of control- and your spirit is undefinable.
The great feeling you get after hitting a stunt! The power you have after landing your jumps. The knowing that almost 500 eyes are watching you at that moment- but only 6 of the eyes you have to impress.
Were we ready yesterday? Not as much as we would of wanted to be. But were we determined yesterday? With all our hearts.
The past 3 weeks we have lost 3 team members- had 5 people sick- redone the routine twice and then switched back to the original.
We didn't perform a flawless routine. But we were doing what we loved. We were a team on that floor. And there's a bond between us that only comes after putting your blood, sweat, and tears (literally) into every practice and performance. And that's when we become a team.

Goodbyes
So I had a really neat experience on Sunday. I got to attend my EFY counselors farewell. She is going to Farmington, New Mexico. She is going to be a great missionary. THE BEST! :)
She has made such a great impact on my life. She changed my life forever. And I will never forget her. She was the first person I met at EFY and she inspired me from the moment I met her. I want to grow up to be just like her. And I want to impact someone else's life the way she impacted mine! She became more like my sister than my counselor! :)
So I had to say goodbye to her on Sunday. But I knew that she is going to be a great missionary. And she will love her mission.
Goodbyes are so bittersweet. You are going to miss that person so much. But they could be leaving to go achieve so many better things in their life. They aren't always a bad thing. And who knows maybe one day you will get to reunite with that person.
Like my brother. My brother passed away when he was 12 hours old. Yes we had to say goodbye to our sweet baby boy. But we will get to be reunited with him again. So our goodbye won't last forever.
I love my family and friends. They are my main support system and I can't express enough how much I love them.
I want to end with a quote from a famous broadway play, Wicked.
"It well may be, that we will never meet again; in this lifetime. So let me say before we part, so much of me; was made from what I learned from you. You'll be with me, like a handprint on my heart. And now whatever way our stories end, I know you have rewritten mine, by being my friend.... Because I knew you; I have been changed..... For Good..."

Sick of being sick!
Wow it is 2013! That's crazy! And to bring in the new year I partied pretty crazy. With my couch and some tissues and only until 10:30. That's right I'm sick. But not just me. The entire Morris house is sick. We are like one giant Germ Bomb over here! So instead of getting to party on New Years with all my teenage friends. The closest I came to a party was the JaNEWary marathon on Disney Channel. So That was my New Years Eve. But my whole family has been sick for a week now! It is really taking its toll on us. This is the worst I have ever been sick. Not to mention the longest. And its only the flu. Realy?!?! But before I got sick I was having a pretty great break!I got to hang out with my friends and I went to a stake dance, and Me, Madi, and Erica had a sleepover! When our brains get together we think of things that only the minds of 3 teenage girls could come up with. So we wanted to go sledding-no sleds, and no hill. so maybe we could fourwheel in the snow? no fourwheeler. So our conclusion was Mattress sledding! So what we did was tie a tow cable around a foam mattress and tie to the back of my cousins car and she drives around in the junior high parking lot. It was so much fun, until you hit the patch of fresh powder and get sprayed in the face. At first it was kinda cold but the longer it sprayed you, the more it burned! Then you get two 15 and 16 year old teenage girls on a foam mattress behind a car and you've got a great equation. The mattress kept ripping, so we kept having to retie it together. By the end all we had was some foam pieces and some thread holing it together! But it was a memorable experience. Then to top the night off we went back to my cousins house and all played Minecraft for 3 hours after that. It was a successful sleepover until I woke sick as a dog the next morning. :(So I have been camped out on my couch in the basement with a box of tissues and a Humidifier for the past week. I never thought I would say that I am actually happy to be going back to school. I feel so people deprived. Just want to close this post with HAPPY 2013!!!!! Don't forget to work on your new year resolution ;)

Only Christmas can bring that big of a grin!
Christmas morning! The day that every little boy and girl in the world look forward to! :) they dream of the decorated trees and brightly colored wrapped presents! In my family apparently it is harder to actually get to the dreaming part!
My sister would not go to sleep last night! And She was not going to be the only one! She kept me up with her! She would get out of bed every 5 minutes and look out at the tree just to make sure she didn't miss the presents! And then when she was in bed she would move around 800 times and switch positions and rustle the covers! It was not a silent night!!
Then it didn't help my parents decided to bring the presents downstairs at 11:30 P.m. Because my sister is still awake and then she hears that! So then she went out and stared at the tree for like 15 minutes! Haha and then she tried to get me to go see it! So then i didn't actually et to fall asleep till an hour later!
Then this morning she woke us all up at 5:30 a.m. I have never seen a child so excited! So we opened presents and the only thing my sis asked for was the new iPod touch. So we are going thru presents and we are getting down to the last few and she still hasn't gotten it, so you could tell she was getting a little disappointed. So we get to the fourth to last box and she opens it and it was the iPod! She was so happy! She was bouncing up and down and she immediately opened it!! Then after that she checked out for the rest of the opening of presents! :) haha
I got exactly what I wanted! :) I got a lot of clothes! And I was so exstatic! That was all I asked for! So I tried them all on after and everything fit perfectly! :) and that never happens! I was so happy! :) this Christmas has been great!
So every year we have a tradition with my dads family is that we have a day where we bake and decorate sugar cookies all day and we call it cookie day! :) I look forward to it every year! And that was also one of the highlights this Christmas!
On Sunday night, the 23rd; was the Rogers family Christmas party (My moms side of the family)! We had dinner and did the talent show! Me and my sister sang and then I showed our "good time" music video! And our whole family made a music video! Then me and my cousins decided to video each other do random raps! And that turned out pretty interesting! :)
On Christmas Eve, we went to the Morris family party (my dads side of the family)! We ate dinner and then played some games! We played the WAH game! Haha and that was just a party! Then we played the game where you write something to do with Christmas and put it on your forehead and try to guess what you are! That was fun too! Then we also made a music video and we did it to gangnam style! That was the highlight of the night! That brought everyone together! And we sang Christmas songs as a family and it was just a great Christmas Eve! Then after everyone was helping each other load the cars and scrape the ice off the windows! I felt so connected to my family! :)
I think one of the best things this Christmas season that happened was that it snowed!! It didn't snow last year. And that was something I wanted so bad; was a white Christmas! :) I am so happy to be so blessed and to be surrounded with friends and family in this wonderful time if the year! I am always happiest in the holiday season, and only Christmas can bring that big of a grin! :)

Life doesn't come with an instruction guide
Growing up is hard! High school is rough. There are cliques and groups and you have to find somewhere to fit in. You have bars to raise and standards to live up to! It's no walk in the park. You have to balance friends and boys, and school, homework and extra curriculars! It's not easy!
I went to my first date dance in Saturday!! It was a girls choice dance, so the girls had to plan it, and pay, and pick up, etc. I'm not gonna lie, it was stressful to plan! Haha you have to figure out the day date, and the dinner, and where your getting your pictures taken, and the schedule, and your group! It was hard!! Haha! But totally worth it in the end!! It turned out way fun! Our group was awesome! And we had a blast!
For the day date we made gingerbread houses! And then we are dinner at Chilis! And went to the dance! Then had hot chocolate after! It was awesome! :) I asked Jace Ercanbrack! It was awesome!
I am so excited for Christmas break! :) my cousins are coming home from college, and we are going to party!! :) and make some rockin awesome music videos! :) and I am going to hang out with my friends! I am hoping that I can go snowboarding with one of my besties Taylor! :)
I just want to say that even tho life may be hard and sometimes feel unbearable, just remember that something good will come of it and it is only temporary. Try to focus on the good things in life. During this holiday season try to think outside yourself and reach out to others. And remember that everyone makes mistakes because life doesn't come with an instruction guide! :)
I just want to give a special shoutout to my best friend willow! I love her! And she needs to know how much she has impacted my life! I think she is beautiful! And amazing! And I love her! I love you willow!
P.s. Taylor I love you! :) <3

The roads are rough
So today I had my driving test. I am officially qualified to be a license driver! I just have to wait until the 6-month date of my permit. But I passed!!! Haha I was so nervous!!
But last week so many things were happening and it was just a disaster week. Nothing seemed be going good, and everything was stressful. It was just not an enjoyable week. It was rough. And I was thinking about it on my road test, as I was driving up and down the roads. There were bumps and potholes and hills and turns. And that is just like life. It's a road, and it can take you anywhere. And the journey can be rough sometimes, with traffic, and weather conditions, and twists and bumps in your road. Or it can be smooth sailing, with the cruise control on. It all just depends in the right or left turn you choose to take at the stop light.
Make the right decisions, even if they are the hard decisions. Take the road less traveled. And remember the roads are rough.
