Only Christmas can bring that big of a grin!

Christmas morning! The day that every little boy and girl in the world look forward to! :) they dream of the decorated trees and brightly colored wrapped presents! In my family apparently it is harder to actually get to the dreaming part!

My sister would not go to sleep last night! And She was not going to be the only one! She kept me up with her! She would get out of bed every 5 minutes and look out at the tree just to make sure she didn't miss the presents! And then when she was in bed she would move around 800 times and switch positions and rustle the covers! It was not a silent night!!

Then it didn't help my parents decided to bring the presents downstairs at 11:30 P.m. Because my sister is still awake and then she hears that! So then she went out and stared at the tree for like 15 minutes! Haha and then she tried to get me to go see it! So then i didn't actually et to fall asleep till an hour later!

Then this morning she woke us all up at 5:30 a.m. I have never seen a child so excited! So we opened presents and the only thing my sis asked for was the new iPod touch. So we are going thru presents and we are getting down to the last few and she still hasn't gotten it, so you could tell she was getting a little disappointed. So we get to the fourth to last box and she opens it and it was the iPod! She was so happy! She was bouncing up and down and she immediately opened it!! Then after that she checked out for the rest of the opening of presents! :) haha

I got exactly what I wanted! :) I got a lot of clothes! And I was so exstatic! That was all I asked for! So I tried them all on after and everything fit perfectly! :) and that never happens! I was so happy! :) this Christmas has been great!

So every year we have a tradition with my dads family is that we have a day where we bake and decorate sugar cookies all day and we call it cookie day! :) I look forward to it every year! And that was also one of the highlights this Christmas!

On Sunday night, the 23rd; was the Rogers family Christmas party (My moms side of the family)! We had dinner and did the talent show! Me and my sister sang and then I showed our "good time" music video! And our whole family made a music video! Then me and my cousins decided to video each other do random raps! And that turned out pretty interesting! :)

On Christmas Eve, we went to the Morris family party (my dads side of the family)! We ate dinner and then played some games! We played the WAH game! Haha and that was just a party! Then we played the game where you write something to do with Christmas and put it on your forehead and try to guess what you are! That was fun too! Then we also made a music video and we did it to gangnam style! That was the highlight of the night! That brought everyone together! And we sang Christmas songs as a family and it was just a great Christmas Eve! Then after everyone was helping each other load the cars and scrape the ice off the windows! I felt so connected to my family! :)

I think one of the best things this Christmas season that happened was that it snowed!! It didn't snow last year. And that was something I wanted so bad; was a white Christmas! :) I am so happy to be so blessed and to be surrounded with friends and family in this wonderful time if the year! I am always happiest in the holiday season, and only Christmas can bring that big of a grin! :)

Life doesn't come with an instruction guide

Growing up is hard! High school is rough. There are cliques and groups and you have to find somewhere to fit in. You have bars to raise and standards to live up to! It's no walk in the park. You have to balance friends and boys, and school, homework and extra curriculars! It's not easy!

I went to my first date dance in Saturday!! It was a girls choice dance, so the girls had to plan it, and pay, and pick up, etc. I'm not gonna lie, it was stressful to plan! Haha you have to figure out the day date, and the dinner, and where your getting your pictures taken, and the schedule, and your group! It was hard!! Haha! But totally worth it in the end!! It turned out way fun! Our group was awesome! And we had a blast!

For the day date we made gingerbread houses! And then we are dinner at Chilis! And went to the dance! Then had hot chocolate after! It was awesome! :) I asked Jace Ercanbrack! It was awesome!

I am so excited for Christmas break! :) my cousins are coming home from college, and we are going to party!! :) and make some rockin awesome music videos! :) and I am going to hang out with my friends! I am hoping that I can go snowboarding with one of my besties Taylor! :)

I just want to say that even tho life may be hard and sometimes feel unbearable, just remember that something good will come of it and it is only temporary. Try to focus on the good things in life. During this holiday season try to think outside yourself and reach out to others. And remember that everyone makes mistakes because life doesn't come with an instruction guide! :)

I just want to give a special shoutout to my best friend willow! I love her! And she needs to know how much she has impacted my life! I think she is beautiful! And amazing! And I love her! I love you willow!

P.s. Taylor I love you! :) <3

The roads are rough

So today I had my driving test. I am officially qualified to be a license driver! I just have to wait until the 6-month date of my permit. But I passed!!! Haha I was so nervous!!

But last week so many things were happening and it was just a disaster week. Nothing seemed be going good, and everything was stressful. It was just not an enjoyable week. It was rough. And I was thinking about it on my road test, as I was driving up and down the roads. There were bumps and potholes and hills and turns. And that is just like life. It's a road, and it can take you anywhere. And the journey can be rough sometimes, with traffic, and weather conditions, and twists and bumps in your road. Or it can be smooth sailing, with the cruise control on. It all just depends in the right or left turn you choose to take at the stop light.

Make the right decisions, even if they are the hard decisions. Take the road less traveled. And remember the roads are rough.

Making the best of a situation

So this week has been probably one of the hardest weeks of my life. For multiple reasons. Just a lot of stuff happened that no person should need to go thru. So on Friday I finally stood up for myself.

I said no! I simply said that I am stronger than her, and she doesn't determine who I am. I am so lucky I had my best friend willow. Because she helped me so much! I could not have gotten thru this week without her! So anyways on Friday night I turned a bad situation into a fantastic surprise and I asked one of my best friends to preference! :)

He answered me tonight! Haha so he bought me a fish and said "out of all the fish in the sea I'm so ecstatic you chose me. I'm not going to make you guess my answer is a solid yes!" He is such a sweetheart! We are going to have a blast! :)

But I just want to express how grateful I am for my best friend willow! Willow I love you, and if your reading this I could never have asked for a better best friend! You are always there for me, and I will always be there for you! :) love you willow!

He is one of the funnest, most fun-loving, happiest kids ever! :) I absolutely love him! We laugh hysterically together and we always have the best time! We talk about the most random stuff, and we cause trouble together! ;) haha don't worry we never do anything illegal. :) haha He is one of my best friends and always will be! Love ya taylor. :)

Carpe Diem

On the last day of school before fall break, Me and my best friend Willow were heading to 4th period. We were almost kind of dreading another hour and a half before we would be out of school for UEA. The class was seminary, which is the only reason we did go. :) haha but just to give you a little background on me and Willow's seminary class; There is about maybe 5 sophmores in that class, and then the rest is all juniors and seniors. That class is always quiet and we never talk. Usually when you have a seminary class you are supposed to bond and be a family. You should be comfortable with your class. But this class just isn't comfortable with each other yet. So Me and Willow show up to seminary, and surprisingly there is a substitute. His name was Mr. Rapp. He greeted us at the door and learned our names at heart as we walked in. Me and willow grabbed our scriptures and took our seats. Once class started Mr. Rapp started taking roll. He asked each of us two questions as he called our names. We spent the entire class period laughing and getting to know each other. It was the class period that we needed. I felt so comfortable. As Mr. Rapp broke down barriers between the classmates of our Seminary class, we all started to open up to each other. Then He let us start to ask him questions. One of the girls in the class raised her hand and asked "how did you get wrapped into this?" The whole class laughed and Mr. Rapp asked "is that a punn?" we all giggled including Mr. Rapp. We spent an hour getting to know everyone in the class. We didn't have a lesson that day. But sometimes those are the class periods that we get the most out of. We learn from each other. Mr. Rapp closed the day by saying "Think about it, two hours ago we didn't know each other. But now after an hour and 15 minutes I know each and every one of you guys, and I will never forget you." He then made one more joke. He said "Carpe Diem. Live everyday so that tomorrow you have no regrets. Carpe Diem, Seize the Day. The old YOLO. you never know what will come upon you in your life, but take it head on and stand strong." Having Mr. Rapp come into our little class of silent, awkward, high school students was exactly what our class needed to break down barriers that were put up from day one. That day in seminary we had two of the students that never show up come to class, and one of the kids in that class that usually doesn't participate and just comes and sits with his head on his desk and his earphones in, he actually started talking to us. Having that substitute some to class that day was in a way a miracle. An answer to our prayers. It was a great way to end the weekend. Carpe Diem everybody.

This crazy little thing called life

This crazy little thing called life. It's filled with up's and down's and all arounds. Full of love and lies. Heartbreak and pure joy. Its got the craziest emotions all wrapped into something that the human race calls life. My life however, I would say is different than everybody elses life. I have a different family. Different friends. Different problems. Different trials. Different thoughts. No one is the same. My life is full of friends and family and cousins. My life without my cousins would be tottally dull. I have lived with them by my side my entire life. I was raised with them being my best friends. Every time we hang out we do something tottally outrageous and spontaneous, and we never do the same thing more than once. For instance one tme we decided that we wanted to make a music video. So we made a music video! It was one of the funnest nights of my life. We drove around springville finding the most random places to film and dance. The next time we hung out we did a photoshoot. And we took pictures on super random things that we could find down main street. Then we had this brilliant idea to take the giant cylinder traffic cones and get inside of them and walk around on the side of the road. Now keep in mind that it is 11:30 at night and we are climbing into traffic cones and walking around in them. There is no one out on the street so we were safe, and we weren't damaging any property. All we were doing was taking some freakin legit photos in some traffic cones. So we're goofing around and then tottally randomly a cop truck drives up and turns on his lights and pulls over. Can you imagine being a cop and driving around at 11:30 at night and finding 3 girls on the side of the road each with traffic cones over their heads. The cop started questioning us and asking us random questions. So apparently it is illegal to move traffic cones and get in them... But you know, we have a pretty good darn memory now. Then tonight we decided to just take a drive and we would think of something to do on the way. So we went to walmart and bought Arizona's and some French bread. I know super random. :) but it was yummy!! So then we went to my high school and started taking some pics; and my cousin found this super random stool just sitting on the grass. So we took it. Then we driving around the road and we found this little tubular traffic cone. So you know being us we took that too. haha then my friend just randomly sent me his address ;) haha jk I asked for it so then me and my cousins went over to his house. So first we doorbell ditched his house. He was home alone with two friends, so it was perfect. So they come walking outside yelling "that's not very nice you guys". So then once they were back inside, we went back to the garage door and left the stool. But them being the little bums they are, didn't go get it. So then we took the cone and put it on the front porch. And long story short they still don't know that is was me and my cousins. and we still have the traffic cone. My cousins mean the world to me. I have grown up with them since we were all in diapers, to nw when we all have our drivers liscenses. Friends come and go, but cousins will always be there. Always. Enjoy your cousins and your family. Because before you know it, your going to be all grown up and going off to college. Don't ever live a day living with regret from yesterday. Life is precious so live it. At times it seems that walls of our life are caving in on us, but in those moments is when you need to be the strongest. I promise that you can make it throught your trials. And that sounds super cleashae. But It's true. Enjoy this crazy little thing called life.
