Gone Wrong

It's weird to think that I will graduate in less than a year. When I tell people how unready I am they take it as a kind of a shock. Because the truth is- I am nowhere near ready to graduate. Maybe I will feel differently in a couple months, Maybe I won't. I just know that right now, I don't want to leave the house, I don't want to stop going to Friday night football games and celebrating at JCW's after. I don't want to stop working on the yearbook, I have no idea what college I want to go to, or what I want to major in. And let's not even begin to talk about taking the ACT again!! I've looked back on all the nights that I have stayed up countless hours without sleep to work on projects and its comical to me! It's all apart of the high school experience. I say that a lot actually. Because when things happen that you think to yourself "This would only happen to a high schooler!!". Like getting a zit in the middle of your forehead right before the dance! Or losing your car in the school parking lot because you can't remember for the life you where you parked. Or combining two sentences that are NOT supposed to go together when talking to that really cute boy (I speak from experience-_-) "Talk to you AROUND!!!" *face palm* But isn't that what makes things memorable?? When things go wrong. During Spring Break in April, Candice and I were going to see a movie at cinemark! The movie started at 9:50. Before the Movie we had gone over to Kiefer's house. Kiefer was playing 2048 on my phone like he always does and so I didn't think anything of it. He gave me my phone back and the clock said 9:15 so I told Candice we should probably go so we can get seats and popcorn and tickets. So she grabbed her stuff and we left. We went to the movie theater bought our tickets and popcorn. I handed the tickets to the guy at the table who tears them or whatever and he started like giggling under his breath. I just thought that was strange. So we found the theater we were in and walked in and the movie from before wasn't even half over. Little did I know Kiefer had set my phone clock for and HOUR later than it was! WE WERE AT THE THEATER AN HOUR EARLY!!! No one had decided to tell me that it was only 8:15. Candice thought I had a plan and we were going early because I knew what I was doing. We had a good laugh about that one! We finished half the popcorn before we even walked into the theater. I will never forget how hard we laughed and how bored we were trying to entertain ourselves while we waited for an hour.
Another story where things have gone wrong was the fourth of July this year!! On the 3rd of July it is a family tradition to go to my uncle Scott's Block Party! We go every year and it's always a blast. This year went and it was no let down!
That night the fireworks show ended super late! We didn't get home until 1 a.m!! Madi and Desi were staying the night at my house because we had a photo shoot that we were going to at 6 a.m. Well, because we are the smartest people on the planet we stayed up until 2:30 talking and laughing and having a blast in my kitchen! We had reached the slap happy stage and 30 minutes later we were coming up on the exhausted stage. We decided we needed to get at least a little sleep even if it would only be 2 hours. So we all set like a dozen alarms and then went to bed. I woke not to the sound of an alarm but to the sun.... at 8 a.m. We had all slept thru the alarms, and missed the photo shoot. I later found out that Desi had woken up and texted the photographer that we weren't going to make it and he was very understanding! We laughed a lot about that! Because later we also found out that there was an all night party in Provo we could have gone to. So we are geniuses.
Anyways I guess the point of this post was don't let just a little screw up ruin your attitude, mood, or day! because chances are it could turn out better than you thought and you will almost always get a good memory out of it :)
